Tried this one for 6 weeks. Only took 25 mg. which is half a dose...tried to increase to 50mg but that really screwed me up. At first it wasn't very good- not horrible though. After a few weeks the side effects for me were: sleepy too much, forgetful (bad short term memory), crazy dreams, hard to wake up in the AM, and lately a heavy sadness. I started this med for anxiety/ panic attacks. It really did help with that though. It was been 5 weeks since I have taken my ativan, and I suppose that is due to the Luvox. But I think I may have traded my ability to be excited and enjoy the ups of life as well as got some new sadness type stuff in exchange for the anxiety. Seems like all of these meds have some trade-off. Right now I am beginning the taper- even though it is a low dose I am going to take 12.5 mg down from 25mg. I stopped taking Lexapro cold turkey because that too I was taking a half dose of. 2 days later I was incredibly anxious and emotional. |

outside of bad delayed or inability to orgasm this drug has been amazing for me with no other side effects after the initial hazing period. So good that I went from 4 mgs of ativan to .5 and now taking it PRN. Great for my OCD and depression! |

This is the first drug i have tried for anxiety and depression but i find that there are not many side effects. Anxiety worst for the first week but after that it calms down.Felt dizzy for a week or two coming off it but nothing compared to the anxiety and depression i felt before taking it. |

I really like this drug. I've tried quite a few for depression and anxiety, and this one BY FAR works the best for depression, and very well for anxiety, AND has the fewest side-effects. Treating depression, anxiety, OCD, etc. is a very individual thing, but this is an old drug that a lot of clinicians won't necessarily suggest, so take the initiative and ask about it if nothing else is working well for you. |

This drug is a lifesaver. It is the best drug I have ever been on for treating my anxiety disorder. It is very good for ocd, gad, panic and deprresion. It has saved my life. It has very few side effects. It does take about 2 months before noticing a huge benifit for ocd. It is really good for controlling obsessive thinking. |
